Tucked along FM2673 in Sattler, Sweeties Donuts has become the morning ritual for Canyon Lake locals and lake-house regulars alike. Every donut is hand-glazed, every kolache is filled and baked fresh, and the coffee is brewed strong enough to get you through the drive to work — or the drive back home after a weekend at the lake.

Customers rave about the jalapeño kolaches, the sausage and cheese kolaches, and the apple fritters that come out "crunchy on the outside and soft in the center." One regular even drove over from River Chase just for the donuts, calling the trip "worth the drive." That's the reputation Sweeties has built one dozen at a time.
